Just after they rang in the new year, Mile High Swap announced the launch date of their upcoming feature - SWAP. According to executives, the idea for Swap came directly from Southwest Airlines desktop notification application - DING!

The downloadable application will allow Mile High Swap to Notify their members when someone has posted the item, service or miles that they have been looking for. Referred to as a (Mile High Match).

“Currently members are notified through our “Let Me Know” feature which is communicated through standard email. While we will probably keep this in play, the SWAP application, we feel, will bring much more to the table.”  First the SWAP application will allow MHS to communicate with their members outside of email. It will also be used to promote exclusive offers to its members, offers that members who do not have SWAP on their desktop will not be privy to.

Our plan is to have it available in the first quarter of 2009 so stay tuned.
