Word begins to spread as the silent rollout begins.

The beta launch of Mile High Swap, much to the delight of its founders, is being well received, as demonstrated by the groundswell taking place throughout many of the social networking communities.

“When you have a “product” that has an impact on over 60% of the U.S. adult population, it’s only a matter of time before word gets around” said KW Jacobson, one of the site’s founders.

“It’s easy to see how a site like this can become viral” stated Teresa Iverson, one of the site’s first members. “There isn’t anyone that I know in my close circle of friends who doesn’t belong to a rewards program, and at work it’s just as common place as having email.”

To help their members spread the word, Mile High Swap has implemented several support tools and helpful suggestive reminders throughout the site. For example, they have implemented a “share this” button within their newsletter features, which allows members to post MHS content on their own personal or group social pages. They have also structure their referral program by incentivizing their members to spread the word to win tickets, via their Join the Mile High Madness campaign. Last but not least, on several pages throughout the site, members are encouraged to take advantage of their LinkedIn contacts to help spread the word, by simply clicking on a button.
